About Us

My name is Włodzimierz Gałązkiewicz and I am the founder of THINKPAT Patent and Trademark Attorneys. I have more than 20 years of experience in strategic counseling, litigation, drafting opinions, preparing patent descriptions and handling cases in the fields of chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, technology and chemical engineering, as well as handling cases involving trademarks, utility models and industrial designs..

I can act as

• a Polish Patent Attorney (PPO);
• a European Patent Attorney (EPO);
• a professional representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC);
• a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

I graduated from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in industrial biotechnology, a one-year Biotechnology Course at Edinburgh's Telford College, Faculty of Care and Medical Sciences, postgraduate studies in "Industrial Property Law" at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and postgraduate studies in "Intellectual Property Law" at Warsaw University.

As a member of the National Council of Patent Attorneys, I was chairman of the Training and Professional Development Committee. 

From 1998 to 2007, I worked with the law firm Kulikowska and Kulikowski as a patent attorney and head of the patent department.

From 2007 to 2023, I was managing partner of the BrandPat law firm.

In 2024, I founded a new law firm THINKPAT Patent and Trademark Attorneys. Many years of experience, as well as cooperation with numerous patent attorneys, lawyers and specialists in various fields, have allowed me to build a network of professionals and a team with unique competencies ready for any challenge.
